Hi Pangaea team! 👋 Here's a short guide on how to launch and maintain your new Squarespace site!

First login to Squarespace: You should have received an invite to sarah@pangaeaventures.com.

invite other members to your team

Go to Settings > Permissions & Ownership > Invite Contributor and invite any members of your team that will need a login to help setup or maintain the site.


Update your domain

  1. Go to Settings > Domains & Email > Domain > Use a Domain I own and follow the Squarespace instructions from there.


  2. You will need your domain provider login information and account ready (looks like it's with Tucows)

PUBLISH YOUR SITE

  1. Go to Settings > Website > Site Availability and press the black "Upgrade to Publish" button


  2. Select either Business plan. While a personal plan will be enough for the current content that is on the site - if you have more than two contributors who you want access to the website, you will want a business plan. It also gives you email marketing, videos/courses, and ecommerce capabilities.

  3. Connect your payment information, review, and confirm.

  4. Save site availability as public! 🎉

EDITING YOUR SITE

  1. Go to Website > Pages

  2. Select page you want to edit from the left hand side nav bar.

  3. Hit Edit on the left top corner to enter editing mode.

ADVANCED - ADDING NEW BIOS OR EXITED COMPANIES

  1. You will need to download and use the Squarespace ID Finder tool - download it and add it to your browser.

  2. From the Bios page, scroll down to the last bio and duplicate the last profile.

  1. Update name, position, copy, and image of the new team member.

  2. When you are done, hit save on the left top corner.

  3. Now using the squarespace finder tool on this page, copy the blue section number of the new bio.

  1. Go to Team page, duplicate the last Team picture and metadata beneath, and re-adjust in layout.

  2. Update the content (name, position, LinkedIn URL)

  3. Lastly, highlight the "Read Bio" next and update the string of numbers in the link to the new ID you copied.
