Hi Hylid team! 👋 Here's a short guide on how to launch and maintain your new Squarespace site!
First login at hylid.squarespace.com. You should have received an invite to your email
invite other members to your team
Go to Settings > Permissions & Ownership > Invite Contributor and invite any members of your team that will need a login to help setup or maintain the site.
Update your domain
Go to Settings > Domains & Email > Domain > Use a Domain I own and follow the Squarespace instructions from there.
You will need your domain provider login information and account ready.
After launch, the website may not appear fully available right away. This is normal with Squarespace launches: once the domain is connected, DNS updates need time to propagate and Squarespace may also need time to generate the SSL certificate that enables the secure https:// version of the site.
PUBLISH YOUR SITE
Go to Settings > Website > Site Availability and press the black "Upgrade to Publish" button
Select either Business plan. While a personal plan will be enough for the current content that is on the site - if you have more than two contributors who you want access to the website, you will want a business plan. It also gives you email marketing, videos/courses, and ecommerce capabilities.
Connect your payment information, review, and confirm.
Save site availability as public! 🎉
EDITING YOUR SITE
Go to Website > Pages
Select page you want to edit from the left hand side nav bar.
Hit Edit on the left top corner to enter editing mode.
